A gangster had been murdered.  Witnesses claimed to have seen the victim in a heated argument with his neighbour before he was found dead.  The police promptly arrested the suspect and found the weapon in his home, but the suspect firmly denied the killing.  Feeling sceptical about the details of the case, the patrol officer who was responsible for investigating the murder privately commissioned Sherlock Holmes for help.  After joining the investigation, Holmes found a young girl named Mia who lived on top of a hill near scene.  She had a habit of using her binoculars to watch birds everyday, so Holmes suspected that Mia might have witnessed the incident on the day of the murder.  Unfortunately, due to a trauma she experienced when she was little, Mia had lost the ability to speak and communicate with others.  Our great detective could only flip through her birdwatching journal to search for leads.  Meanwhile, the evil claws of the real murderer were reaching towards Mia.  Completely defenceless, the life of the helpless Mia hung on a thin line!
